This research paper is an attempt to infer the Hanafi approach to the principle of estimation in the absence of textual evidence. The paper traces and analyzes the opinions of Hanafi scholars on this topic. * The preface mentions the importance of the topic, the reason for its selection, and the plan and methodology of the research. * The introduction contains the lexical and technical definitions of taqdeer (estimation). * The first chapter contains a theoretical study of estimation in terms of: its importance, it being an aspect of facilitation in Islamic law; the methods of establishing estimation according to the Hanafi school; the ruling on its establishment by qiyas; its legal categories; and methodology of estimating what is inestimable according to the Hanafi School. * The second chapter explores the matters that have not been textually estimated and the methodology of Hanafi imams in terms of their estimation.
