This research paper comprises: * An introduction addressing the research topic, its objective, importance, and methodology. * The first chapter discusses the aim of relief work in light of the objectives of Islamic law, its related legal ruling, and related priorities and levels according to the Islamic Law. * The second chapter discusses the constituents of relief work and related juridical rulings. * The paper discusses the commission of a prohibited action or the omission of a required action due to his engagement in relief efforts, the ruling on abstaining from participating in relief efforts due to expected harm, and the ruling on asking for relief from non-Muslims. * The paper discusses the ruling on providing relief for: refugees and those stricken by a catastrophe; non-Muslims; animals; and women by males, doctors or otherwise, in the absence of a mahram. * The paper addresses issues pertaining to the recipients of relief such as the means and financial sources of relief; the ruling on providing relief by means of a prohibited object, by means of an object belonging to a third party, and blood transfusion.
