المستخلص: قسمت الدراسة إلى قسمين، القسم الأول: الإطار النظري، وتضمن التعريف بمفهوم الأمن البيئي الصحي، والتعريف بجائحة كورونا، ومحاولة ربط الصحة العامة المتمثلة في الممارسات الصحية في الحياة اليومية بمسألة الأمن البيئي. والقسم الثاني: الدراسة التطبيقية التي تعتمد على الاستبانة. وتهدف الدراسة النظرية إلى التعريف بمفهوم الأمن البيئي الصحي، بوصفه أحد المفاهيم الجديدة في العلوم الاجتماعية، والأدبيات حولها لا تزال قليلة؛ نظراً لحداثة المفهوم نفسه، ولسرعة التحولات في البيئة الصحية العالمية، وتهديدها لوجود المجتمعات. وتهدف الدراسة التطبيقية إلى التعرف إلى مستوى الوعي البيئي الصحي في ممارسات أفراد المجتمع السعودي للتعامل مع جائحة كورونا (COVID-19)، من خلال الاستبانة. طبقت الدراسة على المجتمع السعودي في أبريل 2020، وشملت عينة من 786 شخصاً يمثلون المواطنين السعوديين الذين تبلغ أعمارهم 18 عاماً فأكثر، وفق سبع متغيرات مستقلة (منطقة الإقامة، العمر، العمل، المستوى التعليمي، الحالة الاجتماعية، عدد المقيمين مع المبحوث والدخل الشهري)، واتبعت الدراسة منهج المسح الاجتماعي، بأسلوب العينة الحصية، ووزعت الاستبانة الإلكترونية. أظهرت أبرز نتائج الدراسة وأهم النسب المئوية لتساؤلاتها ما يلي أن 37.7% من إجمالي المشاركين في الدراسة يتابعون المستجدات حول فيروس كورونا المستجد يومياً. وجاءت وزارة الصحة السعودية في المركز الأول بوصفها مصدراً للإرشادات التي يلجأ إليها المبحوثون. وجاءت مستويات الوعي بممارسة مجتمع الدراسة في المملكة العربية والسعودية لإجراءات الأمن البيئي الصحي المناسبة لفيروس كورونا المستجد عالية. وأكدت الدراسة أن الإناث أكثر التزاماً من الذكور بممارسات إجراءات الأمن البيئي الصحي للوقاية والحد من انتشار الفيروس.

This study was divided into two parts. The first part presents the theoretical framework, which included defining the concept of environmental health security, introducing the coronavirus pandemic, and trying to link public health represented by health practices in daily life to the issue of environmental security. The second section presents the applied study that was based on the questionnaire. The theoretical study aims to introduce the concept of environmental health security, as one of the new concepts in the social sciences. The literature surrounding it is still scarce, given the novelty of the concept itself, the speed of transformations in the global health environment, and its threat to the existence of societies. The applied study aims to identify the level of health environmental awareness in the practices of Saudi community members to deal with the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic, by the questionnaire. The study was applied to Saudi society in April 2020. It included a sample of 786 persons representing Saudi citizens who are 18 years of age and over, according to seven independent variables (residence area, age, work, educational level, marital status, number of people living with the respondent, and monthly income). The study followed the social survey method, using the quota sample method, and an electric questionnaire was distributed. The most prominent results of the study and the most important percentages of its questions were shown as follows: 37.7% of the total study participants followed new developments about the novel coronavirus daily, the Saudi Ministry of Health ranked first as a source of guidance for respondents, and the awareness levels of the study community’s practice in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia regarding the appropriate environmental health security measures for the novel coronavirus were high. The study emphasized that females are more committed than males to the practices of environmental health security measures to prevent and limit the spread of the virus.
