المستخلص: This research is part of the study of Badisy thought .As it will shed light on a part that is considered one of the most important foundations for building the human self. That is, it is the issue of historical awareness and its impact on the individual and society, Especially with the intensification of French colonialism to practice obscuring and cultural distortion of everything related to Algerian society, religiously, linguistically and historically, and it try to create a rift in it.in preparation to achieving ethnic discrimination, and creating a society that would submit to its hegemony without overcoming it. Thereby, continuing the struggle for survival between the colonist and the colonized. There were many resisting methods of the Algerians and their leaders, among the things that the reformer and scholar Ben Badis chose for this was to go back to history, review it and understand it, to defend it and to take the advantage of it, it is considered as the active memory of the nation, it is the preserver of its civilization and being, its key is to document its entitlement to its land, and a shield to protect it and its identity from blasting and falsehood, loss, and a guarantee of its survival and continuity. Therefore, we will focus in formulating this topic on four main points, first of which is what is the awareness of history for Sheikh Abdelhamid Ben Badis; second the aspects of his interest in him and his fields of employmen, in éducation, journalism and sermons, then determine the benefit of reading it and studying it, manifesting in the revival of the national memory, strengthening the unity of Algerians, achieving the renaissance of nations and peoples, and educating students of science and enlighten their minds. Finally, stand on his role in historical writing.

يندرج هذا البحث ضمن دراسة الفكر الباديسي، حيث سيسلط الضوء على جزئية تعد من أهم أسس بناء الذات الإنسانية، ألا وهي مسألة الوعي التاريخي وتأثيره في الفرد والمجتمع خاصة مع اشتداد ممارسة الاستعمار الفرنسي لعمليات التعتيم والمسخ الثقافي لكل ما يخص المجتمع الجزائري، دينيا ولغويا وتاريخيا وسعيه لإحداث الشرخ فيه، تمهيدا لتحقيق التفرقة العرقية، وخلق مجتمع متفرنس يذعن لهيمنته دونما مغالبة فتواصل بذلك صراع البقاء بين المستعمِر والمستَعمَر وتعددت أساليب مقاومة الجزائريين وقادتهم، وكان من بين ما اختاره المصلح والعلامة ابن باديس لذلك هو العودة للتاريخ، ومراجعته وفهمه، والذود عنه، والاستفادة منه، إذ يعد الذاكرة الحية للأمة، وحافظ حضارتها وكينونتها، ومفتاحها لتوثيق أحقيتها في أرضها، ودرع حماية لها ولهويتها من النسف والزيف، والضياع، وضمانا لبقائها واستمراريتها. وعليه سنركز في صياغة الموضوع على أربع نقاط رئيسية أولها؛ ماهية الوعي بالتاريخ عند الشيخ عبد الحميد بن باديس؛ والثانية مظاهر اهتمامه به ومجالات توظيفه؛ في التعليم والصحافة والخطب، ثم تحديد فائدة قراءته وتدارسه، متجلية في إحياء الذاكرة الوطنية، وتعزيز وحدة الجزائريين، وإحداث نهضة الأمم والشعوب، وتثقيف طلبة العلم وتنوير عقولهم، وأخيرا الوقوف على دوره في الكتابة التاريخية.
