|f This article aims to show the importance of a knowledge-based economy. A close examination of the pillars of this new economy shows that despite Algeria's great efforts in investment, the results obtained, especially in terms of quality, have not been achieved. As the level of competitiveness - knowledge - is lower than the developed countries, it is even lower than the Middle East region countries. Research and development are still far from meeting the demands of competitiveness and integration into a knowledge-based economy, as the latter has become outdated knowledge acquired.\nThis abstract translated by Dar AlMandumah Inc. 2020

|a الهدف من هذا المقال هو إظهار أهمية الاقتصاد القائم على المعرفة. اذ أن الفحص الدقيق في أعمدة هذا الاقتصاد الجديد، يوضح أنه بالرغم من الجهود الكبيرة التي تبذلها الجزائر في مجال الاستثمار، إلا أن النتائج المحصلة عليها خاصة من حيث الجودة لم تحقق. حيث أن مستوى التنافسية –المعرفة- ليس فقط أقل مقارنة بالدول المتقدمة ولكن أيضا بالنسبة لبلدان منطقة الشرق الأوسط. البحث والتطوير لا يزال بعيدا عن تلبية مطالب التنافسية والاندماج في الاقتصاد القائم على المعرفة حيث أن هذه الاخيرة أضحت معرفة مكتسبة عفا عليها الزمن.

|d L’objectif de cet article est de montrer l’importance de l’économie fondée sur la connaissance. Après examen des différents piliers de cette nouvelle économie, l’article démontre que malgré les efforts considérables entrepris par l’Algérie en termes d’investissement, les résultats escomptés plus particulièrement sur le plan qualitatif n’ont pas été atteints. Le niveau de la compétitivité connaissance reste toujours inférieur non seulement par rapport aux pays avancés mais également par rapport aux pays de la sous- région MENA, qui lui sont directement compétitifs. Le domaine de la recherche et du développement est loin de répondre aux exigences de compétitivité et d’intégration dans l’économie fondée sur la connaissance du fait que les connaissances acquises sont obsolètes
