المستخلص: nous avons démarche analytique qui dans un premier temps à travers une lecture ciblée suivie d’une étude d’un cas. Nous avons choisi comme cas, la « Silicon Valley », un objet de recherche privilégié de l’analyse des territoires innovants. Nous avons essayé de comprendre sa dynamique d’innovation et les facteurs qui sont à l’origine de sa «success story». Il s’avère que de nombreux facteurs ont contribué conjointement à son développement. Principalement, le décloisonnement et le rapprochement de multiples acteurs notamment des institutions (universités, ministère de la défense, sociétés de capital-risque….).L’étude des success story des territoires est très instructive pour l’élaboration des stratégies de développement territorial notamment pour des pays tels que l’Algérie. Il est fondamental de considérer que toute politique de développement territoriale ne peut s’appuyer seule sur l’offre physique en infrastructures, elle doit prendre en considération la mobilisation en capital humain et social pour le déclenchement des synergies et fructifier les interactions au sein d’un territoire.

The purpose of this article is to explore the problem: innovation -PME- territory. For this, we have analytical approach that initially through a targeted reading followed by a study of a case. We chose the "Silicon Valley", a privileged research object of the analysis of innovative territories. We tried to understand its dynamics of innovation and the factors that are at the origin of its "success story". It turns out that many factors have contributed jointly to its development. Mainly, the decompartmentalization and the bringing together of multiple actors including institutions (universities, ministry of defense, venture capital companies ....) The study of success stories territories is very instructive for the development of territorial development strategies especially for countries such as Algeria. It is fundamental to consider that any territorial development policy can not rely on the physical supply of infrastructure alone, it must take into account the mobilization of human and social capital for the triggering of synergies and fruitful interactions within a territory.
