|a يتناول البحث موضوع الجنون وعلاقة الجنون بالمرض العقلي وذلك عن طريق تناول الملامح العامة لتاريخ الجنون في الثقافة الغربية والمعالجات التي تمت لها عبر العصور المختلفة بدءًا من عصر النهضة ومرورًا بالعصر الكلاسيكي حتى العصر الحديث حيث يعتبر كتاب تاريخ الجنون في العصر الكلاسيكي من أهم أعمال ميشيل فوكو ليس فقط في تناول تاريخ التعامل مع الجنون بل لأنه يطرح لأول مرة فكرته الأساسية حول العلاقة بين السلطة والمعرفة بالإضافة على دراسة تشكل الخطاب النفسي وعلاقة ذلك بالتعامل مع الجنون داخل المؤسسات المختلفة بداية من الحجز الكبير وحتى المصحة النفسية. كما يهدف هذا البحث إلى التعرف على الكيفية التي عالج بها كتاب تاريخ الجنون الانقسام بين العقل والجنون وفتح أسلوب الحوار في إشكالية العلاقة بينهما في مجال الفلسفة الحديثة والمعاصرة من أجل الكشف عن الجانب الغامض للإنسان ألا وهو الجنون.

|b The research deals with the topic of madness and the relationship of madness to mental illness by examining the general features of the history of madness in western culture and the treatments that have been made to it throughout the different ages, starting from the renaissance and passing through the classic age until the modern age. As the book on the history of madness in the classical age is considered on the most important works of Michel Foucault not only in dealing with the history of dealing with madness but also because it presents for the first time his basic idea about the relationship between power and knowledge in addition to studying the formation of psychological discourse and its relationship to dealing with madness but also because it presents for the first time his basic idea about the relationship between power and knowledge in addition to studying the formation of psychological discourse and its relationship to dealing with madness in different institutions starting form reservations the big and even the psychiatric hospital. This research also aims to identify how the book on the history of madness has addressed the division between reason and madness and open a method of dialogue in the problem atic of their relationship in the field of modern contemporary philosophy in order to reveal the mysterious side of a person but madness.
