المستخلص: تشكل الفراغات الخارجية الانطباع الأول الذي يستقر في وجدان الإنسان قبل دخوله إلى المبني. لذا، فإن الاهتمام بتنسيق الموقع لا يقل أهمية عن الاهتمام بتصميم كتلة المبني وفراغاته الداخلية. ومعمارياً، فالكتلة المعمارية لا تنفصل عن الأرض بل ترتبط بها في وحدة عضوية تظهر من خلال العلاقة بين تصميم الكتلة وتصميم الموقع. ووظيفياً، تتكامل وظائف الفراغات الخارجية مع وظائف الفراغات الداخلية مما يعزز من فاعلية الموقع ككل. ومما لا شك فيه أن تنسيق الموقع يؤثر في سلوكيات المستخدمين. ونظراً لزيادة معدلات الأعمار بين البشر عالمياً، فإن المجتمع المستقبلي ستزيد به نسبة المسنين بطريقة ملحوظة. ومن هنا جاءت أهمية البحث حيث يتناول دراسة تأثير تنسيق المواقع للفراغات الخارجية في المجمعات السكنية لكبار السن على تفاعلهم الاجتماعي ومشاركتهم الإيجابية التي أثبتت دراسات عديدة مدى أهميتها في تحسين الظروف الصحية والنفسية والعقلية للمسن. وخلصت الدراسة إلى بعض التوصيات أهمها توعية الباحثين بأهمية دور تصميم وتنسيق المواقع على السلوك المجتمعي لكافة شرائح المجتمع، منها كبار السن، وتوظيفه كأداة لتقويم السلوكيات السلبية وتأصيل القيم الإيجابية من أجل مجتمع سليم وغد أفضل.

External spaces make the first impression that settles in the human conscience before entering the building. Therefore, paying attention to the landscaping is as important as paying attention to the design of a building block and its internal spaces. In terms of architecture, the architectural mass is not separated from the land but is linked to it in an organic unit that appears through the relationship between block design and site design, while in terms of function, the functions of external spaces are integrated with the functions of internal spaces, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of the site as a whole. There is no doubt that landscaping affects user behaviors. Given the longevity of people globally, the future society will significantly have an increase in the proportion of older persons. Hence the importance of the research, as it examines the impact of the landscaping of external spaces in residential complexes for older people on their social interaction and positive participation. Many studies have shown its importance in improving the health and psychological and mental conditions of the elderly. The study concluded with some recommendations, the most important of which is to educate researchers about the importance of site architecture and landscaping according to societal behavior of all segments of society, including the elderly, and using it as a tool to evaluate negative behaviors and entrench positive values for a healthy society and a better tomorrow.
