المستخلص: تعتبر مصر إحدى البلاد الغنية بالمباني التاريخية التي تكون قيمة حضارية. هذه الوفرة أوجدت مشكلة الحفاظ على هذه الثروة وإبراز الجوانب الفنية والتاريخية بها حيث تتعرض تلك المنشأت إلى الكثير من الإهمال وسوء الاستعمال، في نفس الوقت يتطلب الدعوة إلى إصلاح وترميم هذه الثروة إمكانات مادية كبيرة، لا تتوقف فقط عند ترميم المبنى ولكن تمتد لمرحلة الصيانة وإعادة التأهيل، حيث يعد الحفاظ على تلك المنشأت التاريخية والهوية التصميمية للمنشأ من أهم التحديدات التي تواجه مصمم العمارة الداخلية وذلك لأهميتها وللتأكيد على اتجاه الحفاظ على الموروث والهوية التاريخية مع مواكبة المتطلبات الوظيفية الملحة والمفروضة في الكثير من مجتمعاتنا وخاصة ونحن نعيش أزهى عصور "العولمة" والثورة المعلوماتية في مختلف وسائل الاتصالات. لذا يهدف البحث إلى إبراز أسلوب إعادة الاستخدام وتأهيل المباني التاريخية ليلائم وظائف مستحدثة كمدخل للحفاظ عليه. وتسليط الضوء على العمارة الداخلية للمباني التاريخية ومحاولة إعادة استخدام وتأهيل تلك المباني التاريخية لتلائم الوظائف التصميمية المستحدثة في ظل المتغيرات التصميمية والفكرية والوظيفية والتجارب المتعددة في مجال الاختصاص، فضلاً عما يحمله من معايير تاريخية ترتبط غالباً بفكرة عقائدية ذات موروث حضاري. وسوف يتناول البحث توضيح مفهوم الحفاظ على التراث وسواء بالتأكيد على أعمال الصيانة ومنع تلف أو تلاشي جزء أو كل عناصر المبنى التاريخية والتأثير في المجموع سواء من الناحية التاريخية والفنية أو التاريخية، يشمل المفهوم كافة الأساليب التي تتيح صيانة وإطالة عمر هذه المباني واستمرارها، وشرح أساليب التعامل والمعالجة للمباني التاريخية بداية من الإصلاح والترميم إلى إعادة التوظيف والتأهيل للمباني التاريخية (Adaptive Reuse) وهو ما يعد أحد أهم أساليب الحفاظ عليها وتدور فكرته حول إمكانية إعادة تأهيل واستخدام المبنى لأداء وظيفة جديدة، تتناسب مع المكان والعصر، تتلاءم مع البيئة وتحافظ في نفس الوقت على الشكل الخارجي والعناصر الأساسية والفنية للمبنى بما يضمن احتفاظه بالقيم التاريخية والفنية.

Egypt is a country that is rich in historical buildings that add cultural value. This abundance has created the problem of preserving this wealth and highlighting the technical and historical aspects of it as these facilities face a lot of negligence and misuse. At the same time, the call for the repair and restoration of this wealth requires significant material potential, which not only stops when the building is restored but extends to the maintenance and rehabilitation phase. Preserving these historical facilities and the design identity of the building is one of the most important challenges facing the interior architecture designer for its importance. To emphasize the direction of preserving heritage and historical identity while keeping pace with the urgent functional requirements imposed in many of our societies, especially as we live in the most beautiful times of “globalization” and the information revolution in various means of communication. Therefore, the research aims to highlight the method of reusing and rehabilitating historical buildings to fit new functions as an approach for preservation. It also seeks to highlight the internal architecture of historic buildings and try to reuse and rehabilitate them to fit the design functions created in light of the design, intellectual, and functional changes and multiple experiences in the field of competence, in addition to its historical standards, often linked to a doctrinal idea with a cultural heritage. The research will clarify the concept of heritage preservation, whether by emphasizing maintenance work and preventing damage or fading of part or all of the historical building elements and affecting the total, whether historically and technically, or historically. The concept includes all methods to preserve and extend the life and continuity of these buildings and explain the methods of dealing and treating historical buildings from repair and restoration to reuse and rehabilitation of historic buildings. This is one of the most important methods of maintaining it. This idea revolves around the possibility of rehabilitating and using the building to perform a new function that is appropriate with the place and age and adapts to the environment, and at the same time, preserves the exterior and basic and artistic elements of the building to ensure that it retains its historical and artistic values.
