يهدف هذا البحث إلى المقارنة بين الروايتين "إعدام قطار" و"وما زال القطار يجري"، واللتين رغم اختلاف العنوان، فإنهما تحملان الحدث نفسه. تأتي المقارنة من خلال مقارنة الاستهلال والشخصيات والنهاية في كلتا الروايتين، ووصل البحث إلى النتائج التالية: - استطاع الغلاف أن يبرز القيمة الجمالية والتداولية للروايتين، وذلك من خلال اختيار الألوان والصورة المرسومة، وذكر اسم المؤلف صحيحا، وذكر جنس الكتاب في رواية "وما زال القطار يجري". - يحمل عنوان رواية "إعدام قطار" تلك الدلالة المتشائمة، وهو ما ظهر في نهاية الحدث عندما ارتبط إعدام القطار بموت صبري الشخصية الرئيسة. - يحمل عنوان رواية "وما زال القطار يجري" تلك الدلالة المتفائلة، وهو ما ظهر في عدة نقاط داخل الحدث الروائي من إضافات لشخصيات تحمل الأمل في الغد مثل شخصية منعم، وإضافة أحداث تؤكد تلك الدلالة، والتي ظهرت من الأحداث التي أضافها على شخصيتي "حمودة وشهيرة"، وتخصيص التعليم للفتيات الثلاثة، والتي تؤكد أهمية التعليم. - جاءت نهاية رواية "وما زال القطار يجري" لتؤكد هذا الأمل في الغد عندما أكد تطور أساليب الزراعة، وموت سلبيات المجتمع بموت القطار. - تغيير عنوان الرواية في الحدثين كان له دوره في تغيير دلالة الحدث، وتحوله من الدلالة المتشائمة إلى الدلالة المتفائلة. - يرجع البحث إعادة كتابة رواية "إعدام قطار" مرة أخرى بعد عشر سنوات، وتغيير العنوان إلى "وما زال القطار يجري"، وبالتالي تغيير الدلالة إلى الأمل في الغد الذي أعطته ثورتي 25 يناير 2011م و30 يونيو 2013م.
