المستخلص: هدفت الدراسة إلى تحديد كلا من مستوى أبعاد المساندة الاجتماعية ومستوى أبعاد معنى الحياة، وكذلك تحديد طبيعة العلاقة بين المساندة الاجتماعية ومعنى الحياة لدى المرضى بأمراض مزمنة عينة الدراسة، وكذلك تحديد الفروق بين الذكور والإناث من عينة الدراسة في كلا من المساندة الاجتماعية ومعنى الحياة وكذلك تحديد العلاقة بين بعض المتغيرات الديموغرافية وعلاقتها بكلا من المساندة الاجتماعية ومعنى الحياة لدى عينة الدراسة من المرضى بأمراض مزمنة، طبقت الدراسة على عينة بلغت ٢٧٠ من المرضى بأمراض مزمنة ( ذكور ١١٦ بنسبة ٤٣% - إناث ١٥٤ بنسبة 57 % ) واستخدم مقياسين (مقياس المساندة الاجتماعية – مقياس معنى الحياة ) وتوصلت نتائج الدراسة إلى أنه لا توجد فروق بين متوسطات أبعاد المساندة الاجتماعية، ووجود فروق بين متوسطات أبعاد معنى الحياة للمرضى بأمراض مزمنة، كذلك وجود علاقة طردية دالة إحصائيا بين المساندة الاجتماعية ومستوى معنى الحياة للمرضى، ووجود فروق بين الإناث والذكور في بعض أبعاد المساندة الاجتماعية ومعنى الحياة .

The study aimed to determine both the level of the dimensions of unanimous support and the level of the dimensions of the meaning of life, as well as to determine the nature of the relationship between social support and the meaning of life in patients with chronic diseases, as well as to determine the differences between males and females from the sample of the study in both social support and the meaning of life, as well as to determine the relationship between some demographic variables and their relationship to both social support and the meaning of life in the sample of the study patients chronic diseases, the study was applied to a sample of 270 patients with chronic diseases ( Male 116 ( 43% )- female 154 by (57% )) the study used two measures (measure of social support - measure of the meaning of life) and the results of the study found that there are no differences between the averages of the dimensions of social support, and the existence of differences between the averages of the dimensions of the dimensions of the meaning of life for patients with chronic diseases, as well as the existence of a direct relationship statistically function between social support and the level of meaning of life for patients, and the existence of differences between females and males in some dimensions of social support and the meaning of life .
