المستخلص: تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى التعرف على العلاقة بين التعرض لمواقع التواصل الاجتماعي ومستوى الاغتراب السياسي لدى أهم فئات المجتمع على الإطلاق، وهي فئة الشباب الجامعي، سواء بالزيادة أو بالتناقص، وهل بالفعل هي وسيلة لممارسة ومناقشة القضايا السياسية بالشكل الذي يسهم في تراجع مستويات الاغتراب السياسي لدى هذه الفئة أم إنها باتت وسيلة للتهرب من الواقع؟، وبالتالي زيادة حدة الاغتراب، وتراجع مستويات المشاركة السياسية، واستخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي الارتباطي، وأجريت على عينة قوامها 400 مفردة من طلاب جامعتي عين شمس والمنيا، مستخدمة أداة الاستبيان لجمع المعلومات من خلال ثلاثة مقاييس هي: مقياس التعرض لمواقع التواصل الاجتماعي، ومقياس للاغتراب السياسي، وآخر لقياس مستوى المشاركة الساسية. ومن أهم النتائج التي توصلت إليها الدراسة وجود علاقة دالة إحصائياً بين معدلات التعرض لمواقع التواصل الاجتماعي ومستوى الاغتراب لدى عينة الدراسة، كما ثبت أيضاً وجود علاقة دالة إحصائياً بين كل من مستوى الاغتراب السياسي لدى العينة ومدى مشاركته السياسية.

This study aims to identify the relationship between exposure to social media and the level of political alienation among the most important groups of society at all, which is the university youth group, whether an increase or decrease. And if it is a way to practice and discuss political issues in a way that contributes to the decline in levels of political alienation in this category Or has it become a means of evading reality, and thus increasing the intensity of alienation and declining levels of political participation? Methodology: The study used the relational descriptive approach, where he described the phenomenon as it is in reality. Sample: The study was conducted on 400 individuals from Ain Shams University in Cairo Governorate (Lower Egypt), and Menia University in Menia Governorate (Upper Egypt). Tools: The study used a questionnaire tool to collect information through three measures: a measure of exposure to social media, a measure of political alienation, and another to measure the level of political participation. The study results: One of the most important findings of the research is the existence of a statistically significant relationship between exposure rates to social media and the level of alienation in the study sample. It was also proven that there is a statistically significant relationship between each of the sample’s level of political alienation and the extent of its political participation.
