المستخلص: أولا: التجارة في بايلك الغرب الجزائري: إن التجـــارة فـــي بايلك الغرب الجزائري خلال القرن 18، كما هو الشـــأن في جميع البايلكات؛ نوعان خارجية وداخلية، وتتم الداخلية داخل المدن بواســـطة الأسواق الأسبوعية أو السنوية في الأرياف، وقد عزز التبادل التجاري الداخلي عاملان هما: تشـــجيع البايات للأسواق التجارية سعيا لفرض نفوذهم على سكان الأرياف عندما يختلفون في هذه الأسواق، ضف إلى ذلك مرور القوافل التجارية عبر أراضي البايلك في اتجاه الصحراء أو المغرب أو بلاد المشرق العربي(1).

A person who studies the history of Algeria during the Ottoman period finds that it did not focus all its efforts on military matters only, but that the latter had a good reputation in trade through its commercial dealings. The priority was not only to recruit armies and prepare a strong maritime fleet, but rather sought to establish ancient traditions of trade, constructing large markets and major trade routes for the passage of convoys, and sought to encourage and expand trade and open all doors to them. The Ottomans did not separate commercial activity from other activities in life and worked to benefit in establishing this balance between the various activities on the various long Islamic experiences, as they established a strong commercial base that linked the various parts of the Ottoman Empire, especially with the Algerian West, who had the largest share of this activity. The Ottoman Empire had commercial relations with various European countries and established strong commercial relations, which we will discuss in this research paper.
