المستخلص: This thesis is concerned with clarifying an important issue regarding the Arabic language, which is the multiplicity of exceptions, and the overlap of the topic of substitution with the topic of exception. As specialists know, exception is a major chapter in Arabic grammar, and this is touched through the books of grammarians, as they devoted to this topic a chapter which they called (the section of exception) or (the section of exclusion). It is also known that this chapter knew a great deal of disagreement, and a divergence of opinions, whether in its tools or patterns, or in its structural and syntactic issues. Hence, this thesis is important, as the author - may Allah have mercy on him - focused on an important issue, namely the multiplicity of exceptions without the presence of a conjunction, as well as clarifying some semantic and synthetic circumstances between the two studies of exception and allowance. It also includes some scholarly opinions of prominent Arabic grammar on the issue of exclusion preceded by a denial or an authoritative interrogation in a negative, whether it is from knowledge or from denial.
