|a تهدف الدراسة الراهنة إلى الكشف عن الضوابط الجیومورفولوجیة المؤثرة في الجوانب العمرانية لمدينة سفاجا، ومحاولة تعرف أبعاد تأثر الجوانب العمرانية بظروف الموضع من الناحية الجیومورفولوجیة. وقد تناولت الدراسة الخصائص الجیومورفولوجیة لمنطقة الدراسة من حيث مناسيب سطح الأرض ودرجة واتجاه انحدارها، كذلك المظاهر الجيومورفولوجية المنتشرة بمدينة سفاجا والمناطق المجاورة لها؛ بهدف معرفة تأثير كافة الجوانب الجيومورفولوجية على النشأة الأولي للمدينة وحجمها ونموها العمراني وخطة الشوارع والطرق الرئيسة، كذلك وظيفة المدينة ونسيجها العمراني. وانتهت الدراسة إلى وضع تقييم جيومورفولوجي لموضع الكتلة المبنية وأراضي الفضاء؛ بهدف معرفة مناطق الخطورة والأمان. وقد استخدمت الدراسة عددا من مصادر اشتقاق البيانات تمثلت في الخرائط الطبوغرافية وخرائط البحرية البريطانية، ونموذج الارتفاع الرقمي وصور الأقمار الصناعية. كما انتهت الدراسة إلى عدد من النتائج المهمة أبرزها أن الجوانب الجيومورفولوجية قد أسهمت بدور فاعل في عدد من الجوانب العمرانية سواء كان هذا الإسهام هذا الإسهام بشكل إيجابي أم سلبي. وقد كان لظروف موضع المدينة من الناحية الجيومورفولوجية دورا بارزا في النشأة الأولي للمدينة وبقاءها دون أن تتعرض للاضمحلال كما هو الحال في مدن التعدين، وعلى العكس من ذلك فإن ظروف الموضع خلقت عدداً من وظائف المدينة ساهمت في ازدهارها عبر التاريخ، ومن المتوقع أن يزداد ازدهارها مع إجراءات تنفيذ المشروع التنموي للمثلث الذهبي.

|b The current study aims to reveal the geomorphological controls affecting the urban aspects of the city of Safaga, and to try to identify the dimensions of the influence of the urban aspects caused by the conditions of the site from the geomorphological point of view. The study dealt with the geomorphological characteristics of the study area in terms of topography, degrees of slope and directions of slope, as well as the geomorphological aspects. The spread of the city of Safaga and its adjacent areas with the aim of knowing the effect of all geomorphological aspects on the initial emergence of the city, its size and urban growth. The plan of the main streets and roads as well as the function of the city and its urban fabric, the urban expansion and the future planning of the city, and the study ended with the development of a geomorphological assessment of the built up area and the space lands, in order to know the danger and safety areas. The study used a number of data derivation sources represented in: topographic maps, British Admiralty maps, digital elevation model, satellite images. The study ended with a number of important results, most notably that geomorphological controls have played an active role in a number of urban aspects, whether positively or negatively. Geomorphologically, the conditions of the city’s location had a prominent role in the early emergence of the city and its survival in order to be exposed to decay as is the case in mining cities. The conditions of the site created a number of city jobs that contributed to its prosperity throughout history and it is expected that its prosperity will increase with measures.
