The knowledge economy depends on invention and innovation. The economy of developing countries lacks qualified human recourses to spurting invention & innovation, and undertaking research &development operations. Developing countries needs to modernize their education systems in order to adapt to knowledge. This study analysis economic dimensions of education and studies the relationship between knowledge economy and education, the relationship between information and communication technology and education and the role of information and communication technology in adapting education to knowledge economy I developing in countries. The conclusion of this study is that developing countries can create value added and enter to knowledge economy via employing information and communication technology in education operations in formal and informal education. In formal education, developing countries can enter computers and internet. In informal education using new technology helps pramoting education for life. The active use of knowledge for socio-economic development requires human resources capabilities, skills of education, and absorbing the information and communication technology. Developing countries needs strategic plan to reform education which depends on information and communication technology.
