|a يتضمن هذا البحث بيان أهمية العلم بتاريخ نزول الآيات الكريمة ومصادره، وعرضا للجهود السابقة فيه، مع دراسة لتاريخ نزول آيات سورة المائدة، من خلال أسباب النزول الواردة فيها، وإعمال النظر في المناسبات الموضوعية والتاريخية بين الآيات، لما في ذلك من إعانة للمفسر والمتدبر في فهم كلام الله تعالى، وخدمة الكتاب العزيز بالبحث في واحد من علومه الجليلة وجانب من جوانب البحث فيه، ولا يدعو البحث إلى إعادة ترتيب السور أو الآيات فيها.
