المستخلص: هدفت الدراسة إلى تعرف العلاقة بين القلق وجودة الحياة لدى عينة من أمهات الأطفال المصابين بالشلل الدماغي. تكونت عينة الدراسة من (82) أما من أمهات الأطفال المصابين بالشلل الدماغي. واستخدمت الدراسة مقياس القلق الصريح من إعداد جانيت تايلو ومقياس جودة الحياة من إعداد منظمة الصحة العالمية. وظهرت النتائج مستوى قلق متوسط لدى أمهات الأطفال المصابين بالشلل الدماغي وبالتالي مستوى منخفض من جودة الحياة، ووجود علاقة ارتباطية عكسية بين القلق وجودة الحياة، كما أظهرت الدراسة عدم وجود فروق دالة إحصائية في مستوى القلق حسب متغير المستوى التعليمي، ووجود فروق بين متوسط درجات أفراد عينة البحث على مقياس القلق لصالح الأمهات اللواتي فقدن أزواجهن، ووجدت الدراسة عدم وجود فروق دالة إحصائية بين متوسط درجات أفراد عينة البحث على مقياس جودة الحياة حسب متغير المستوى التعليمي، ووجود فروق دالة إحصائية بين متوسط درجات أفراد عينة البحث على مقياس جودة الحياة حسب متغير وجود زوج أو عدم وجود الزوج (أرملة) لصالح المتوسط الحسابي الأكبر من الأمهات اللواتي يعشن مع أزواجهن.

The study aimed to identify the relationship between anxiety and quality of life in a sample of mothers of children with cerebral palsy. The sample of the study consisted of (82) mothers of children with cerebral palsy. The study used the explicit anxiety scale prepared by Janet Taylor and the quality of life measure prepared by the World Health Organization. The results showed an average level of anxiety among mothers of children with cerebral palsy and therefore a low level of quality of life, and the existence of an inverse correlation between anxiety and quality of life, the study also showed that there were no statistically significant differences in the level of anxiety according to the variable of the educational level, and that there were differences between the average scores of individuals The research sample on the anxiety scale for the benefit of mothers who lost their husbands, and the study found that there were no statistically significant differences between the average scores of individuals for the research sample on the measure of quality of life according to the variable of the educational level, and the presence of statistical significant differences between the average scores of the individuals of the research sample on the quality of life scale according to the presence variable Husband or absence of the husband (widow) in favor of the greater arithmetic mean of mothers who live with their husbands.
