|d Dans ce papier, nous nous proposons d’explorer les contraintes multiples (sociales, économiques, géographiques) entravant l’accès des femmes algérienne aux soins maternels. Pour ce faire, nous avons entrepris une enquête de terrain auprès d’un échantillon de nouvelles mères résidant dans la wilaya de Bejaia. Il ressort de cette étude que les caractéristiques individuelles et familiales de la parturiente (niveau d’instruction, revenu du ménage, lieu de résidence…) ont un effet sur la décision de renoncement ou de non-recours aux soins maternels.

|b In this study, we conducted a survey involving rural and urban households in the county of Bejaia in order to understand the influence of both maternal care offer share-out and social class affiliation on the healthcare renunciation. The study findings emphasized the part played by revenues in determining maternal care services and confirmed the correlation between the residence and care renunciation, hence the existence of social and spatial disparities for this type of healthcare.).
