المستخلص: This article aims to highlight a range of valuable ideas concerning the relation between good governance and the Management and development of the retirement system. The principles of good governance have been applied In the theoretical part to the retirement system in Algeria in order to build an effective strategy to increase the level of employment, to ensure the safety of old age income, to monitor the management operation of the resources of the National Retirement Fund, and to try to improve it to achieve sustainable retirement systems. On the practical side, we have tackled the Algerian retirement system deficit problem analysis by applying an economic study to assess the impact of the employment variable on the revenues of the National Retirement Fund for the period between 1998 and 2016, using the simple linear regression model of EViews, through which we found existent significant linear correlations that provide a clear explanation of the system's current incapacity.
