اقتضت سنة الله تعالى أن يبتلى الناس، بالسراء والضراء، مؤمنهم وكافرهم على حد سواء. والدراسة التي بين أيدينا قامت على دراسة لسنة الله تعالى في الابتلاء: (تعريفها، أنواعها، حكمتها)، وخلصت إلى أن هذه السنة كغيرها من سنن الله في الكون والإنسان، قابلة للاكتشاف، وميسر التعرف على أسبابها، من خلال النظر في أحوال الأفراد والجماعات. وتظهر الحكمة من هذه السنة في أنها: ترفع درجات المؤمن وتكفر سيئاته، وقد تكون عقوبة لبعض الناس على ما كسبته أيديهم، كما أن إفاضة النعم على بعض الناس، وهم مقيمون على معصية الله، هو من قبيل الاستدراج لهم. ومن فوائد التعرف على هذه السنة: أخذ العبرة من الماضي، وقراءة الحاضر، والتخطيط للمستقبل، والتأمل في أسبابها: فإن وقعت على وجه العقوبة للبشر- بسبب معاصيهم- وجب الإقلاع عنها، وإن وقعت بسبب تقصيرهم في وسائل الحماية، تعين الأخذ بهذه الوسائل. كما أن التعرف على هذه السنة يحتم على المؤمن وجوب الإيمان بها، وبعدالة الله تعالى في توزيعها على الناس، ووجوب مقابلتها عند وقوعها، بالصبر والرضا، لا بالجزع والتسخط.
Allah’s - Almighty - sunnah has been determined so that people, believers and non - believers are alike. They may be inflicted on times of evil as well as of virtue. This study is based upon the study of Allah’s - Almighty - sunnah of infliction: its categories and the wisdom lying behind it like any other type of Allah’s -Almighty - sunnahs. This study concludes that this type of sunnah is remedial and is easy to be familiar with its cause through looking into the individuals and the groups affairs. The wisdom lying beyond this sunnah in clear, since it raises the status of the muslem believers, and for the fact that it abolishes their evil-doing which might be a punishment to some people on what they have committed. In addition to the fact that the overflow of virtues on some people who are indulged in disobeying Allah the Almighty is nothing more than a way of cammitting more evil deeds. Among the benefits of becoming familiar with this sunnah are: (1) to learn a lesson from the past. (2) to look deeply into the present. (3) to plan for the future, and, (4) to meditate in its causes. If the infliction falls on mankind as a form of punishment resulting from their evil deeds, people must quit doing them. But if it falls on them as a result of their laziness to acquire methods of protection, they must take these methods into consideration. This sunnah forces muslem believers to believe in it and in Allah’s Almighty justice in distributing it among people, also, to face it, when it is inflicted patiently and satisfactorily, and not by feeling scared or impatient.
