المستخلص: تعد نظم المعلومات الجغرافية من التقنيات الحديثة التي أصبحت تستعمل في العديد من التخصصات من بينها المدن وتوسعاتها، وقد استخدمنا هذه التقنية لدراسة التوسع العمراني لمدينة المسيلة ولجأنا في ذلك الى استخدام الصور الجوية ومعالجتها بواسطة للفترة (1961-1996-2015) من أجل استخلاص خرائط Arc gis 10.2 برنامج تحدد محاور واتجاهات التوسع العمراني للمدينة، وتبرز سيرورة تطورها مع ابراز مدى فاعلية هذه التقنيات في تصميم خرائط رقمية و موضوعاتية يسهل التعامل معها في تدبير شؤون المدينة.

Geographique information systems is a modern technology that has been used in many disciplines in clouding cities and their expansion we used this techniques to study urban expansion of the city of m’sila, we resorted to the use of aerial photograph and processed them by means of program arc gis 10.2, for the period (1961- 1996 – 2015) and trends in the urban expansion of the city, and highlight its development highlighting the effectiveness of these techniques to design digital maps and thematic easy, to deal in the management of the city.

Les systèmes d’informations géographiques sont des techniques nouvelles utilisées dans plusieurs domaines liées a l’etude de la ville et son extension, nous avons utilisés cette technique dans l’etude de l’extension de la ville de m’sila , en faisant recours aux photos aériennes et leur exploitation par le programme Arc gis 10.2 durant la periode allant (1961- 1996- 2015) d’où la conclusion de soutirer des cartes qui définissent les axes et les orientations de l’extension urbaine de cette ville, elle met en evidence l’evolution et l’importance de cette technique dansl’elaboration des cartes numériques
