The research aims to study the significance of the symbolic dream of Apollonius of Rhodes and: Moschus in light of the theories of old dreams. The research is divided into two focuses: First: is the study of the significance of the symbolic dream in Homer where it was found that dreams are messages from the gods coming from the outside within the sleeping mind in order to urge him towards a certain path. Second: the study of the significance of the symbolic dream of Apollonius Rhodes through the analysis of three dreams in Argonautica (1) Medea Dream 2) Circe Dream 3) Euphemus Dream. At Moschus , through the analysis of Alcmena's dream in Megra poem , it was found that Apollonius and Moschus ' dreams were the product of the soul of the sleeper and reflected his feelings and anxiety. Except for the dream of Euphemus, it is the only one of the Homeric type that can be found in Argonautica, where it is sent by god Hermes. |
