| 520 | |b Venus had numerous important titles in the Roman Era. The most useful title for the Roman people, in practical and religious terms, is Venus Cloacina. The origin of this title goes back to its association with Cloaca, the goddess of cleansing and purification. Venus Cloacina is an Etruscan deity worshipped by the Romans who linked her with the establishment of the first great sewage network of Rome. The oldest sewage system in the world was known in Ancient Rome for three considerations: The Roman’s interest in public health and their deep belief in the combination of beauty, the strength of the body, and shape to health and disease prevention; being close to deities to gain their satisfaction; and the realization of the Roman people that the religious belief is the main motivation of life. Hence the proposal of the subject of the study about the Roman goddess Venus Cloacina, the goddess of sewage and disease prevention. The aim of the study is: * Shedding light on another form of the worship of the goddess Venus in Rome specifically in the period (43-33 B.C.) in the late Roman Republic Era during (the Second Triumvirate) of the official political alliance after the assassination of Julius Caesar, and because of the interest of Julius Caesar and August, later, with the worship of the goddess Venus who was their patron and guardian goddess. Since the time of Julius Caesar, numerous coins of Venus as well as commemorative coins (Medallion) of Venus have been minted, reflecting peace and harmony in Roman society. * Attempting to find out the significance of the association of the goddess Venus with Cloacina (the goddess of cleansing, purification, and public health in Etruria), the importance of worshipping her as an important aspect of the prosperity of the distinctive Roman civilization, and a guide to the health and prosperity of Rome and the artistic reflection of it since the goddess Venus was the closest to the hearts of the Romans and the most useful one for the Roman people in practical and religious terms due to her participation as the goddess of love, beauty, marriage, reproduction, fertilization, and also struggle for obtaining the usurped rights. | ||
