هدفت الدراسة إلى رصد وتحليل أطر معالجة قضايا الإصلاح الاقتصادي في مصر، والتحديات الاقتصادية المطروحة في المواقع الإلكترونية الدولية والعربية، واعتمدت على منهج المسح باستخدام أداة تحليل المضمون، وتمثلت عينة الدراسة في عينة عمدية من خلال المسح الشامل في المواقع الإلكترونية الدولية والعربية وهي، (روسيا اليوم فرانس –24 سكاي نيوز –BBC الكويت نيوز- العربية نت (في الفترة من أغسطس 2016، حتى فبراير 2020، وتوصلت الدراسة إلى: - تناولت مواقع الدراسة الإصلاح الاقتصادي في مصر من خلال عدة قضايا هامة منها (معالجة أزمة الديون- إصلاح مالي- معالجة ميزان المدفوعات- الحالة الاجتماعية في ظل ارتفاع الأسعار- تنمية الصادرات- روشتة صندوق النقد الدولي- فرض ضرائب جديدة- إصلاح الجهاز الإداري)، جاءت قضية معالجة أزمة الديون في مصر بالمرتبة الأولى من اهتمامات مواقع الدراسة وخاصة موقع سكاي نيوز، حيث قدم رؤية إيجابية متفائلة حول استقرار الاقتصاد المصري من خلال نشر عدة أخبار عن تسديد مصر ديون خارجية وداخلية بفضل برنامج الإصلاح الاقتصادي. -جاء إطار العمل والإنجاز بالمرتبة الأولى من اهتمامات مواقع الدراسة، حيث وصف موقع روسيا اليوم ما حققه برنامج الإصلاح الاقتصادي من أعمال وإنجازات، وجاء إطار المكاسب الاقتصادية بالترتيب الثاني من اهتمامات مواقع الدراسة، إطار الهجوم والنقد بالمرتبة الثالثة حيث عكس موقع الــــBBC ردود الفعل الغاضبة من زيادة الأسعار التي أعدتها الحكومة، حيث تباينت عناوين الصحف في رصد زيادة معدل الفقر منذ 19 عاما.
