المستخلص: شكل التاريخ بمعناه التاريخي والأسطوري أهم الدعائم الارتكازية التي لم يستطيع المسرح أن ينفصل منها أو يتخلى عنها من التاريخ الأول لكتابة المسرح إلى الآن، وذلك بما قدمه التاريخ للمسرح من شخصيات بطولية وأسطورية وملوك ونبلاء وإلهة وكذلك موضوعات غنية تشتمل على جوهر الدراما وهو (الصراع) والمسرح مليء بالنماذج التاريخية والظاهرة التي تم البحث عن جوهرها وهي المسرحية الشعرية أصبحت مقترنة بالتاريخ بحيث لا يمكن تصور مسرحية شعرية إلا وكانت تعالج موضوعا من التاريخ، أي أن هناك ظاهرة اقتران في المسرح العالمي العربي والعراقي بين المسرح الشعري والتاريخ، وهكذا تم تقسيم البحث إلى أربعة فصول اشتمل الفصل الأول مشكلة البحث والحاجة إليه وأهمية البحث وهدف البحث وحدوده وتم تعريف أهم المصطلحات التي ترد في المتن، أما الفصل الثاني فجاء الإطار النظري وتم تقسيمه على مبحثين المبحث الأول النص المسرحي والتاريخ والمبحث الثاني الشعر والمسرح (الشعر المسرحي) وتم الخروج بالعديد من المؤشرات التي أسفر عنها الإطار النظري، أما الفصل الثالث فكان إجراءات البحث والتي تشمل مجتمع البحث وأداة البحث ومنهج البحث وعينة البحث وتم اختيار عينه ومن ثم تحليلها وكانت العينة نص مسرحية (ادابا) للشاعر معد الجبوري، وجاء الفصل الرابع الذي يشمل النتائج ومناقشتها والاستنتاجات وقائمة المصادر والمراجع وخرج البحث بالعديد من النتائج أبرزها: ١ - اقترن التاريخ بالشعر لأنه المؤلف قد يرجع إلى التاريخ في كتابه نص المسرحي وذلك لاحتواء التاريخ العديد من الأحداث والموضوعات التي تصلح للدراما. ٢- يكون مقترنا لأنه الشاعر يستعير موضوعا مهما من التاريخ يعيد صياغته شعرا لأنه للشعر العديد من الأغراض منها تكثيف الأفعال والصور. ٣- هناك ناحية جمالية في الشعر تضاف إلى أحداث التاريخ هذه اللغة تكون بمستوى الشخصيات المتصارعة.
