المستخلص: الحمد لله رب العالمين والصلاة والسلام على سيد المرسلين محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم وعلى أله أجمعين.. وبعد. لم يعرف كتاب الذخيرة السنية في تاريخ الدولة المرينية، لمؤلفه ابن أبي زرع الفاسي له رواجا على أهمية ما فيه من أخبار، فلم يقع النقل عنه أو دراسته إلا في إشارة عابرة في كتاب روضة النسرين في دولة بني مرين لإسماعيل بن الأحمر الذي سماه الدرة السنية، كذلك لم يعرف اسم مؤلف الكتاب أو لم ينسب له ولكن بمقارنه بسيطة بين عباراته ونصوصه يظهر بسهولة أن مؤلفه ومؤلف كتاب الانيس المطرب بروض القرطاس في أخبار ملوك المغرب وتاريخ مدينة فاس هو واحد. وإشارة الأستاذ عبد الله كنون في كتابه ذكريات مشاهير المغرب قارن فيه بعبارات الكتابين ورجح أن يكون مؤلف الذخيرة السنية هو ابن أبي زرع صاحب كتاب القرطاس. وتضمن كتاب الذخيرة السنية دراسة عن حياة المغرب العربي في المجال السياسي والاقتصادي والاجتماعي والثقافي، وذكر الحياة الثقافية للمجتمع المغربي وتطوراتها واهتمامات العلماء بالعلوم، وتبين للعلماء اتجاهات فكرية مختلفة بشتى العلوم، وظهر اهتمام العلماء باللغة العربية وفروعها والحديث والفقه، وهذه العلوم هي التي كانت سائدة في حياة المجتمع المغربي بتلك المدة، إذ كانت للتوجهات الدينية لها رواجاً لدى ملوك المغرب والمجتمع على حدا سواء. إلا أن العلماء لم تقتصر علومهم على الحديث واللغة إنما تزايدت الاختصاصات الأخرى ومنها الطب والحساب والجغرافية والفلك والتاريخ، وأشتهر علماء المغرب لاحتوائهم أكثر من علم كما في ابن البناء العديد الذي كان طبيب ومؤرخ وعالم في الحديث وبارع في اللغة والأدب، وكذلك ابن خروف وابن الياسمين وابن اجروم.
