المستخلص: This paper aims to examine the motivations of Iraqi students of Materials Engineering Undergraduates at University of Technology have toward the learning of the English language. Iraqi university students face many difficulties in mastering and learning English. Where they lack several ingredients for language learning. The language teaching methods in Iraq are very simple and insufficient to master the language well. Since language does not only need long years to learn, but learning the language requires many factors and many steps and serious and identify the motivations to learn English. One of the most important factors is the identification of learning motivations. This study aims to try to find solutions to these problems and try to find multiple motives in order to achieve this goal.
