المستخلص: يعرف أدب الرحلات على أنه مجموعة الآثار الأدبية التي تتناول انطباعات المؤلف عن رحلاته في بلدان مختلفة، وقد يتعرض فيها لوصف ما يراه من عادات وسلوك وأخلاق، لتسجيل دقيق للمناظر الطبيعية التي يشاهدها، أو يسرد مراحل رحلته مرحلة مرحلة، أو يجمع بين كل هذا في آن واحد. وعليه نجد للصدق والخيال دورا هاما في أدب الرحلات، ورغم هذا فإن كتب الرحلات تؤدي وظيفة تاريخية هامة، تتمثل في الكشف عن العديد من الظواهر التاريخية التي غفلت عنها بعض الكتب التاريخية خلال الفترة الحديثة والمعاصرة. فهي بحق -كتب الرحلات والجغرافيا-تعد من بين أهم المصادر التي تعرفنا بمختلف جوانب الحياة الاجتماعية، لاقتصادية، السياسية... إلخ للأمصار التي زارها هؤلاء الرحالة من جهة، ونقل الكثير من الصور والمشاهد من جهة أخرى. في بذلك حافظة للموروث الحضاري للمجتمع. ومثال ذلك الكتابات المتعددة للرحالة الأوربيون وخاصة منهم الفرنسيون أمثال شارل دوغالون ورحلته "رحلة إلى بوسعادة ومسيلة" سنة 1897م وهي موضوع هذا المقال. رحلة ذات طابع أديي، اجتماعي وإنساني، الغاية منها إبراز أهمية الرحلة الأوربية (الفرنسية) كمصدر في دراسة التاريخ المحلي لمنطقة الحضنة، والتعرف على صورة المجتمع الحضني بجوانبه: الاجتماعية، السياسية، العسكرية، الثقافية، الدينية... إلخ. لأن التاريخ المحلي لايزال يحتاج إلى البحث والدراسة خاصة في الفترة الاستعمارية.

The travels literature is known as it’s a group of literary monuments which talk about the impressions of the author and his trip in different countries, he’s may be expose to describe what he sees from habits, behavior and ethics for accurate recording to the natural views that he saw it. Or he tells the stages of his trip stage by stage. Or he combines between all of this in the same time. Accordingly, we find that the honesty and the imagination has a great role in Despite this, the books of travels leads to historical and the travels literature. important job, which is represent in the detection of many historical phenomena that some historical books overlooked it in the modern and contemporary periods. Rightly it is - the books of travels and geography- one of the most important sources that makes us know a various sides of life (like social side ,economic and political sides) to the places which the travelers visit it from side. in addition, carriage a lot of pictures and views from the other side ,so it’s portfolio for the cultural heritage of the society, the best example is the multiple writings of the Europeans travelers especially the French one like Charles De Galland and his travels " Travel to Bousaada and M’sila" in 1897,this represent the subject of my article. It’s travel with a literary, social and humanist characters ,the purpose of it is presentation the importance of as a source in the study of the local )the French one(the Europeans travels history in Hodna from side , and recognition the picture of the society in Hodna with his sides :social, economic, political, cultural, military, religious…etc from the other side. Because the local history is still needs to study especially in the colonial period.
