استهدفت الدراسة التعرف على دور التعليم الجامعي في تنمية المسئولية المدنية لطلاب وقد اشتملت الدراسة على الإطار العام للدراسة ويتضمن المقدمة، المشكلة، الأهداف، الأهمية، المنهجية، وخطوات الدراسة، كما اشتملت على ثلاث محاور تناول الأول منها الإطار النظري للدراسة ويتضمن مفهوم وأهداف وأبعاد المسئولية المدنية، علاقة التعليم الجامعي بالمسئولية المدنية آليات الربط بينهما والتحديات التي تعوق ذلك، كما تناول الخبرة الأمريكية في تنمية التعليم الجامعي للمسئولية المدنية وواقع المسئولية المدنية في فلسفة وبنية وأنشطة التعليم الجامعي المصري من خلال تحليل رؤية ورسالة الإستراتيجية القومية لتطور التعلم العالي وكذلك تحليل رؤية ورسالة وإستراتيجية تطوير جامعة الزقازيق، وتناولت في محورها الثاني الإطار الميداني للدراسة متضمناً هدف الدراسة الميدانية وأداتها، وعينة الدراسة وأسلوب المعالجة الإحصائية بينما تناولت في محورها الثالث ما توصلت غليه من نتائج وتصور مقترح لتفعيل دور التعليم الجامعي في تنمية المسئولية المدنية للطلاب واختتمت الدراسة بالتوصية بضرورة تبني الجامعات المصرية بكلياتها ومعاهدها للمسئولية المدنية في رؤيتها ورسالتها وأهدافها وأنشطتها وممارساتها المختلفة وذلك من خلال إعادة تشكيل ثقافة الحرم الجامعي وكلياته للعمل على تنفيذ وممارسة المسئولية المدنية للجامعة فكراً وممارسة.
The study aimed at identifying the role of University Education in developing Civic Responsibility belonging its students. The study also I contained the general review of literature, containing introduction, problem, objectives, significance, methodology, and study procedures. It also contained three cores; the first handled the theoretical review of the study, containing the concept, objectives, and dimensions of Civic Responsibility, relationship between University Education and Civic Responsibility .mechanisms of relating them, and the challenges which hinder achieving this. And Also addressed the American experience in the development of university education to develop Civic Responsibility This also handled the reality of Civic Responsibility inside Egyptian University Education's activities, structure, and philosophy through analyzing the vision and mission of the national strategy for developing Higher Education , and analyzing vision, and mission, and development strategy of Zagazig University. And dealt with at its core the second frame the field of study, including the goal of the field study and its tool, and a sample and method of statistical treatment The third core handled the most significant results reached , the suggested framework for activating the role of University Education in developing students' Civic Responsibility. The study was concluded with giving a necessary recommendation for fostering Civic Responsibility within Egyptian faculties and institutes through their visions, missions, and different practices and activities. This will be through re¬formulating the culture of University and its faculties for carrying out and practicing the Civic Responsibility.
