المستخلص: إن الضوء أساس الحياة في هذا الكون ومنها استمد الإنسان مفاهيم ومعاني الخوف والشر من الظلام والراحة والخير من الضوء، فأصبحت تشكل ثنائية لازمت الإنسان إلى يومنا هذا في مختلف المفاهيم الحياتية. لذا فقد تجسد الضوء بشكله الفني الجمالي في الفنون المرئية كالفنون التشكيلية والفوتوغراف وغيرها حتى ظهور فن السينما، إذ إن استخدام الإضاءة في السينما أفرز طاقة عالية في التشكيل لها قيم تعبيرية ورمزية، وأصبح الظلام والضوء يشكلان فضاءاً بصرياً تتحرك فيه مركبات علامية عديدة ضمن بنية العمل الفني. وتضمن البحث فصول عدة، الفصل الأول (الإطار المنهجي) مشكلة البحث التي تمثلت بالسؤال الآتي (هل يمكن أن يكون الضوء نصاً في بنية العمل الفني باعتباره منظومة دالة تهتم بالجانب العلاماتي للفيلم؟). وأهمية البحث والحاجة إليه وكذلك هدف البحث فضلاً عن توضيح حدود البحث ومصطلحات البحث، أما الفصل الثاني فقد اشتمل على الإطار النظري والدراسات السابقة وقسم الإطار النظري على مبحثين: المبحث الأول/النص الضوئي كمنظومة علامية، أما المبحث الثاني/ النص الضوئي واللعب الحر بالعلامة، وبعدها تم وضع التطبيقات التي اعتمدها الباحث لتحليل العينة المختارة والتوصل إلى هدف بحثه واشتمل التحليل على المنهج الوصفي المعتمد في البحث. وتحليل العينة، ثم استخلاص النتائج النهائية المنبثقة من التحليل، فكان أبرزها أن العلامة تخضع لتوظيف صانع العمل، وكذلك عرض بعض الاستنتاجات المستنبطة من نتائج البحث وتضمن البحث قائمة بالمصادر والمراجع التي اعتمد الباحث عليها باللغات العربية والأجنبية وملخص الدراسة باللغة الإنكليزية.
