|a موضوع هذا البحث هو دراسة تفصيلية لمسائل الخلاف بين أبي بكر بن السراج (ت 316ه)، وشيخه أبي العباس المبرد (ت 285ه)، وقد اشتملت هذه الدراسة على تعريف بهذين الشيخين، في ضوء ما جاءت به كتب التراجم والطبقات، ثم مناقشة مسائل النحو الخلافية بينهما؛ متضمنة رأي كل منهما من خلال كتابيهما (المقتضب)، و(الأصول في النحو)، ثم مناقشة ذلك في ضوء ما ورد في المصنفات النحوية واللغوية؛ مع بيان الرأي الراجح، مؤيداً بالدليل والبرهان ما أمكن.

|b This study included an introduction to these two sheikhs, in light of what was brought by the books of translations and classes, then discussing the controversial grammar issues between them.; Including the opinion of each of them through their books (Al-Muqtadap) and (Usul in Grammar), then discussing this in light of what has been mentioned in the grammatical and linguistic works. With a statement of the preponderant opinion, supported by evidence and proof as possible.
