المستخلص: يتناول البحث الظروف التي تعرض لها الناصر محمد بن قلاوون، في أثناء نشأته وبدايات سنوات حكمه، في فترتيه الأولى (693-694ه/ 1293-1294م) والثانية (698-708ق/ 1293-1294م)، وتأثير هذه الظروف على الجانب النفسي في شخصيته، ودورها في ترسيخ بعض السمات التي انعكست في تعامله مع كبار رجال دولته من الأمراء والعلماء والإداريين خلال فترة حكمه الثالثة، التي امتدت لأكثر من ثلاثين عاماً (709-741ه/ 1310-1341م). وكانت هذه السمات من الوضوح بحيث لفتت أنظار معاصريه من المؤرخين، الذين لم يتوانوا عن نعت الناصر بها في أكثر من مناسبة تصدى البحث لرصد أبرزها ومناقشتها؛ للوقوف على تأثيرها ودلالاتها، منطلقاً من روايات المحيطين به في أغلب الأحيان، وذلك في ضوء بعض العناصر التي تناولت أبرز المواقف التي تعرض لها الناصر محمد وكان لها وقع كبير في نفسه خلال نشأته وولايتيه الأولى والثانية، ثم الأثر النفسي لهذه النشأة في علاقته بالأمراء وكبار رجال دولته، فضلا عن مقدمة وخاتمة وقائمة ببليوغرافية بأهم المصادر والمراجع.

The research studies the circumstances that Al-Nasser Muhammad bin Qalawun faced in his early life and the first years of his reign during its first (693-694 AH/ 1293-1294 AD) and second (698-708 AH/ 1298-1309) periods. It also focuses on the psychological effect that these circumstances had on his character as well as the role they played in enhancing certain features that were reflected in the way he treated the senior officials of his state including princes, scientists, administrators during his third period of reign that lasted more than 30 years (709-741 AH/ 1310-1341 AD). These features were so pronounced that they did not go unnoticed by his contemporary historians. They readily attributed these features to Al-Nasser on many an occasion. The study sheds light on some of these features to discern their influence and significance based mostly on the accounts of Al-Nasser's entourage. The research likewise unfolds certain elements that accompanied the main situations faced by Al-Nasser Muhammad and that had a major psychological impact on him during his early life and his first and second reigns. It also addresses the psychological effect of his upbringing on his relationship with the princes and senior officials of his state. The study also comprises an introduction and a conclusion in addition to a bibliography of the main sources and references used in the research.
