هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى التعرف على حياة السلاطين في دولة المماليك الجراكسة, وتوضيح العديد من ملامح حياتهم الخاصة والعامة, بما فيها من تسلية ورياضة, وتظهر الأهمية في سردها لحياة سلاطين المماليك ووسائل تسليتهم ورياضتهم, والجوانب المصاحبة لها والتي أثرت في سياسة الدولة والحياة العامة في الدولة المملوكية, أما منهج الدراسة فهو المنهج التاريخي الوصفي التحليلي, وتوصلت الدراسة إلى عدد من النتائج أهمها: أن مظاهر الثروة العظيمة التي تمتع بها سلاطين المماليك أثرت تأثيراً كبيراً على حياتهم وتسليتهم ورياضتهم, وأكدت على جود فارق شاسع بين حياة سلاطين المماليك وعامة الشعب, وأن الكثير من وسائل التسلية والرياضة ارتبطت بالطبقة الحاكمة, والبعض من سلاطين المماليك كانوا يتخذون من وراء الألعاب الرياضية فرصة لتصفية الحسابات أو لحل الخلافات مع أمرائهم, وتوصي الدراسة بعدد من التوصيات أهمها: ضرورة أجراء مزيد من الدراسات للوقوف على كل تفاصيل حياة سلاطين المماليك لتكشف لنا الجوانب التي مازالت مغمورة من حياتهم, والاهتمام بدراسة وسائل التسلية والرياضة ومدى دورها في اكتساب الخبرة الحربية, والوقوف على الأسباب التي أدت إلى عدم اندماج المماليك وسلاطينهم في المجتمع المصري بصورة كاملة, وتسليط الضوء على حياة الترف والبذخ التي عاشها سلاطين المماليك ومدى تأثيرها على الاقتصاد المملوكي وحياة عامة الشعب للاستفادة منها مستقبلاً في توجيه سياسات الدول والحكام.
This study aimed to know the life of the sultans in the state of the Circassian Mamelukes, and to clarify many features of their private and public life, including entertainment and sport, and show the importance in its narration of the life of the Mamluk Sultans, their means of entertainment and their sport, and the accompanying aspects that affected the state policy and public life in the state the Mamluk, as for the study curriculum, is the historical, descriptive, and analytical method, and the study reached a number of results, the most important of which are: the manifestations of the great wealth enjoyed by the Mamluk sultans greatly affected their lives, their entertainment and their sport, and emphasized the existence of a wide difference between the lives of the Mamluk sultans and the general population, and that many from entertainment and sports were linked to the ruling class, and some of the Mamluk Sultans were using sports as an opportunity to settle scores or resolve disputes with their princes, and the study recommends a number of recommendations, the most important of which are: the need to conduct more studies to find out all the details of the life of the Mamluk Sultans to reveal the aspects that they are still overwhelmed by their lives, the interest in studying entertainment and sports and the extent of their role in gaining war experience, and the reasons that led to the failure to fully integrate the Mamluks and their sultans into Egyptian society, and shed light on the life of luxury and opulence that the Mamluk Sultans lived and the extent of its impact on the Mamluk economy and the life of the common people to benefit from in the future in guiding the policies of states and rulers.
