Many researchers have presented a number of experimental and numerical investigations of the dynamic plate load test (DPLT) with many testing devices for various types of soil, in order to reveal and illustrate phenomena occurring when the dynamic devices is utilized. So, this paper presents a literature review to evaluate the compaction soil test equipment in situ, field testing procedure, data collection and calculation, and lab testing methods that were developed. Available devices for in- situ dynamic modulus, soil density, and moisture content measurement were reviewed. The evaluation of in situ dynamic modulus measurement devices focused on commercially available LWD models, including specifically the Light Falling Weight Deflectometer LFWD to evaluation of compaction soils. Previous research indicated that common use of dynamic devices may facilitate in the highway and railway construction industry to perform quick and continuous quality control of embankments, soil replacement, subsoil layers, and backfill.
