From a global perspective on energy conservation, there is a directed effort and research attempts towards reducing energy consumption in the face of the global energy crisis and rising costs. To achieve a thermal comfort of cooling and heating processes with lower possible energy, it requires maximizing the usefulness of alternative solar energy that Egypt enjoys in terms of its geographical location as an alternative energy source. The Trombe wall technology is discovered by French architect Trombe, which is one of the promising alternatives to renewable energy that uses solar energy as an energy source for use in cooling or heating processes in buildings. The present paper explores recent review articles of different Trombe wall configurations to improve the performance in heating/cooling processes using different designs through experimental work and numerical methods. From a review of previous research studies, it appears that there is a gap in obtaining thermal comfort in the summer season by reducing the temperatures inside the air-conditioned spaces, and it is considered distinctive research points to maximize the benefit from this promising technology.
