المستخلص: يعيد خطاب تكريس جون- كريستوف روفان عضواً في الأكاديمية الفرنسية والذي يتجاوز فيه مجرد الثناء على سلفه هنري ترويا بمجموعة من الجمل الرنانة وإن كانت مكتوبة بلغة أنيقة يعيد بناء صورة لإنسان بكل تعقيداته مؤكداً على الإسهام الذي قدمه لهذه المؤسسة. روفان طبيب، دبلوماسي وكاتب حصل على كثير من الجوائز وهو في خطابه يتناول مجموعة من المفاهيم والقضايا كمفهوم الزمان نظراً لطول حياة سلفه المهنية جاعلاً المستمع والقارئ يغوصان في عالم الطفولة السحري لترويا والذي كان بمثابة مخزناً لكنز من الذكريات الجميلة والمؤلمة على السواء. يتحدث روفان عن وضع ترويا ككاتب روسي استقر به المقام في فرنسا ليثبر بذلك مسألة العلاقة مع الآخر والتعددية الثقافية التي تواجه اليوم الكثير من العثرات في ظل هيمنة ثقافة بعينها. إن الأكاديمية الفرنسية باعتبارها رمزاً للهوية الثقافية الفرنسية تعمل على الحفاظ على التقاليد الوطنية لتصبح سلاحاً يتصدى لمحاولات طمس الهويات القومية. يتساءل عن مستقبل الفرنكوفونية وعلاقة الدول الناطقة بالفرنسية مع فرنسا كما يتيح له عمله في مجال المساعدات الإنسانية أن يتساءل عن ماهية هذا النوع من الانخراط في حياة الشعوب موضحاً الدروس المستفادة من هذه التجارب مؤكداً على الطبيعة الوقتية للحياة وتأثير هذه الحقيقة على عملية الإبداع الأدبي.

Loin de se réduire à des formules mélioratives vidées de sens, composées cependant dans une langue élégante et recherchée, le discours de réception de Jean-Christophe Rufin à l’Académie française reconstruit l’image d’un être dans toute sa complexité tout en soulignant la contribution qu’il a apportée à la construction de l’institution. Médecin, diplomate et écrivain récompensé par de nombreux prix, le nouvel élu dépasse la tradition soigneusement sauvegardée de l’éloge pour mener une réflexion sur la notion du Temps, vu la longévité de la carrière de son prédécesseur, plongeant ainsi l’auditeur et le lecteur dans l’univers troyen notamment celui de son enfance, source intarissable de souvenirs et de récits à la fois agréables et douloureux. La condition de Troyat en tant qu’écrivain russe émigré en France soulève la question du rapport avec l’Autre et de la diversité culturelle qui se heurte à maints obstacles dans le contexte de la Mondialisation. Symbole de l’identité culturelle de la France, l’Académie française veille à préserver les traditions qui, seules, peuvent aujourd’hui faire face aux tentatives d’estomper les identités nationales. Rufin s’interroge de même sur l’avenir de la Francophonie et sur le rapport des pays dits francophones avec la France. Travaillant dans l’humanitaire, l’orateur évoque le propre de ce type d’engagement tout en précisant les leçons qu’il en a tiré et en insistant sur l’idée de la précarité de toute existence et l’influence de celle-ci sur la création littéraire.

The dedication address of Jean-Christophe Rovan, a member of the French Academy, in which he goes beyond the mere praise of his predecessor Henry Troya with a set of resonant sentences, albeit written in elegant language, reconstructs the image of a human being with all his complexities, stressing the contribution he made to this institution. Ruvan is a doctor, diplomat, and writer and has won many awards. In his speech, he addresses a range of concepts and issues, such as the concept of time due to the long career of his predecessor, making the listener and reader dive into the magical childhood world of Troya, which served as a treasure store of both beautiful and painful memories. Rovan talks about the status of Troya as a Russian writer who has settled in France to raise the issue of relationships with each other and multiculturalism, which today faces many pitfalls under the hegemony of a particular culture. As a symbol of French cultural identity, the French Academy works to preserve national traditions to become a weapon that pushes away attempts to obliterate national identities. He wonders about the future of Francophonie and the relationship of French-speaking countries with France. His work in the field of humanitarian assistance allows him to wonder what this kind of involvement in the lives of people is. He explained the lessons learned from these experiences, stressing the temporal nature of life and the impact of this fact on the process of literary creativity.
