|a تعد الجزر الأفريقية المعروفة باسم الجزر المتناثرة من أكثر المناطق الاستراتيجية أهمية، حيث موقعها بقناة موزامبيق الممر المائي الكبير الأهمية والواقع على أكثر طرق الشحن ازدحاماً في العالم وأكثرها امتلاكاً للموارد. ومن ثم تزاحم فرنسا الدول الأفريقية المطلة على القناة في الموارد الغنية الموجودة بقاع المحيط، كما تتسبب في صعوبة ترسيم الحدود البحرية بين الدول الأفريقية المطلة على قناة موزامبيق باعتبارها جارة إقليمية لها السيادة على عدد من الجزر الأفريقية الموقع الفرنسية السيادة، وبالتالي تنشأ المطالبات الإقليمية من مدغشقر التي تسعى لإدانة فرنسا باقتطاعها الجزر المتناثرة من مدغشقر قبل منحها الاستقلال، ومن ثم يقدم البحث إحدى الحالات غير التامة الاستقلال.

|b The African Islands, known as the Scattered Islands (Îles Éparses), are one of the most strategic and important areas, because of their location on Mozambique Channel, the very important waterway, which is located on the world's busiest and most resourceful shipping routes. France crowds out the African countries bordering the canal in the rich resources located on the Ocean floor. In addition, it makes it difficult to demarcate the maritime borders between the African countries bordering the Mozambique Channel, because it is a regional neighbor that has sovereignty over a number of African islands. Thus, regional claims arise from Madagascar that seeks to condemn France, which cuts off the scattered islands from Madagascar before granting independence. Therefore, the current research presents one of the cases of incomplete independence.
