هدفت الدراسة إلى معرفة معوقات البحث العلمي في ضوء افتقار مؤسسات المجتمع المدني لأهميته وبيان أهم التحديات التي تعرقل مسيرته في سبيل تحقيق التقدم والتنمية للمجتمع المصري، من خلال مراجعة الدراسات السابقة المتعلقة بهذا الموضوع، واستخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي والتحليلي، واعتمدت الدراسة على استبانة لمعرفة أراء العينة التي تمثلت في ٤٢٠ استبيان وتوصلت الدراسة إلى أن البحث العلمي لم يصل بعد للمستوى المطلوب وأنه يعانى من تحديات ومعوقات مادية وتطبيقه وأكاديمية واجتماعية وشخصية، وأنه بحاجة لدفعة قوية تدفعه للأمام للتخلص من تلك المعوقات من خلال دعم مؤسسات المجتمع سواء كانت حكومية أو أهلية، فضلا عن قلة الإنتاجية العلمية من قبل الباحثين مقارنة بغيرنا من الدول العربية التي تنفق أكثر على البحث العلمي، وتتيح الأجواء البيئية المشجعة على البحث والتقصي عن الحقائق الخاصة بطبيعة المعوقات، وبناء على ما توصلت الدراسة إلية من نتائج فقد أوصت بضرورة تفعيل الشراكة المجتمعية بين الجامعات والمؤسسات الصناعية والتجارية الخاصة لدعم البحث العلمي والباحثين، مع ضرورة ربط البحث العلمي باحتياجات ومتطلبات المجتمع والتنمية الشاملة .
The study aimed to know the obstacles of scientific research in the light of the lack of civil society institutions and its importance and to clarify the most important challenges that hinder his path towards progress and development of the Egyptian society Through reviewing previous studies related to this topic. The study used the descriptive and analytical method, and the study relied on a questionnaire to know the opinions of the sample represented in 420 questionnaires. The study concluded that the scientific research has not yet reached the required level and that it suffers from challenges, physical, applied, academic, social and personal challenges and obstacles. And that it needs a strong push that pushes it forward to get rid of these obstacles by supporting community institutions, whether governmental or private, as well as the lack of scientific productivity by researchers compared to other Arab countries that spend more on scientific research. It allows the environmental atmosphere to encourage the search and finding facts about the nature of obstacles Based on the results of the study, it recommended the necessity of activating the social partnership between universities, industrial and commercial especially institutions to support scientific research and researchers. With the necessity of linking scientific research with the needs and requirements of society and comprehensive development.
