The study confirmed a strong positive correlation between the average per capita electricity consumption as a dependent variable and between both the population and the city area as independent variables, where Pearson correlation coefficients were (0.99, 0.98), respectively, at a statistical significance level (0.01), there is also a positive correlation between the average per capita electricity consumption and the mean maximum temperature, where the correlation coefficient was (0.73) at the level of statistical significance (0.05), thus, each rise in temperature will lead to more electricity consumption. On the other hand, there was no statistically significant correlation between the average per capita electricity consumption and population density, the relationship between them was negative, but did not live up to the statistical significance level. The increase in the electricity consumption percentage in the Riyadh city has been found in the North, Khurais and Dir'iya offices, while the electricity consumption percentage in Riyadh city in the East and South offices decreased between 2008 and 2014. the decline in the consumption percentage in the East and South is not due to the decline in consumption, but due to the increase in energy consumption in other ranges. The study found that the temperature recorded in the four climatic stations in Riyadh is affected by the type of land use; the differences between them were evident in temperatures for all months of the year. Deirab station, located in the center of the agricultural area in the far south-west outside the urban range of the lowest temperature in all months of the year, in July - the hottest month of the year in Riyadh city - the temperature decreases of more than 10oC than the New Riyadh station in the north of the city near King Khalid Airport. The Old Riyadh station in the center of the city ranked first in the rise of average temperatures throughout the months of the year, indicating that there is thermal retention making the temperature tend to warm even in the lowest months of the year in terms of heat which is January, where the temperature is 14.36oC, and then the temperature increases more than the station of Deirab by three degrees Celsius; and increases more than the New Riyadh station of about one degree Celsius (0.95OC). This shows that there are thermal differences between the city center and its outskirts, especially in the winter under the influence of urban land use.
