المستخلص: إن الحالة الصحية للإنسان لا يكون لها أي قيمة أو مغزى إلا إذا تم التعبير عن بيئة الإنسان البشرية، أي محيطه الاجتماعي والثقافي، فللبيئة آثارا" قد تكون سوية أو غير سوية فيما تطبعه على حياة الأفراد ومن هنا جاءت هذه الدراسة لتكشف دور العوامل الأيكولوجية في الإصابة بالفشل الكلوي المزمن فالاتجاه الأيكولوجي في دراسة الصحة والمرض يهتم بموضوع الوجود في بيئات معينة على مستويات الصحة العامة واحتمال الإصابة بالمرض ويدرس أثر الوجود في بيئات ثقافية واجتماعية معينة على الصحة والمرض وتركز الدراسة على اثر البيئة في الاصابة بمرض الفشل الكلوي ليس هذا فقط بل اتجاه المرضى للمرض واثر البيئة في ذلك. ويأتي هذا البحث لمحاولة التعرف على الخريطة الاجتماعية لانتشار مرض الفشل الكلوي المزمن بمجتمع الدراسة، والكشف عن تأثير العوامل الأيكولوجية الطبيعية والثقافية والاجتماعية-في المرض والذي يعاني منه المجتمع المصري في الأعوام الأخيرة وخاصة وهو من الأمراض التي ترتبط ارتباطا "وثيقا" بالعوامل الأيكولوجية باعتبار مجتمع الدراسة صورة مصغرة للمجتمع المصري، وذلك بالتطبيق على مركز ومدينة بلقاس وحدة الغسيل الكلى بمستشفى بلقاس المركزي نموذجا أما عن الإجراءات المنهجية فقد اعتمدت على المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، كما اعتمدت الدراسة على طريقة المسح الاجتماعي الشامل، وذلك بحصر جميع تذاكر مرضى الفشل الكلوي بوحدة الغسيل الكلوي بمستشفى بلقاس لعام 2019 وتمثل (١٧٩ حالة)، أما عن أدوات جمع البيانات فقد حاولت الباحثة استخدام أكثر من أداة للحصول على المادة الإمبيريقية لموضوع الدراسة حيث استخدمت الباحثة دراسة الحالة باعتبار أن المريض هو وحده الحالة حيث استعانت بدراسة الحالة عن طريق المقابلة، وذلك بإجراء مقابلات فردية متعمقة مع المرضى للوصول لتفسير العلاقة بين المرض وظهوره بمنطقة البحث، بالإضافة إلى الاعتماد على المقابلات الجماعية والفردية للمرضى بالمستشفى بالإضافة للأطباء، وذلك لتحليل هذه البيانات تحليلا دقيقا ومعرفة أسباب كل مرض في كل بيئة ورسم صورة خريطة بيئية مرضية للفشل الكلوي عن مركز ومدينة بلقاس.
