|a تتحدد مشكلة الدراسة في "محاولة التعرف على اتجاهات الصفوة الأكاديمية نحو البرامج الحوارية ودورها في الاستقطاب السياسي للمستبعدين اجتماعيا مع وضع مفهوم لكلا من الاستقطاب السياسي والاستبعاد الاجتماعي من وجهة نظر الصفوة الأكاديمية"، في ضوء نظرية تأثير الشخص الثالث، حيث تعد من الدراسات الوصفية التي تعتمد على المنهج المسحي، بتطبيق استمارة استبيان علي عينة قوامها ١٠٠ مبحوث من أعضاء هيئة التدريس ومعاونيهم في كل من جامعة بني سويف (جامعة حكومية)، وجامعة النهضة (جامعة خاصة)، حيث افترضت الدراسة وجود علاقة ارتباطية ذات دلالة إحصائية بين دوافع مشاهدة الصفوة الأكاديمية للبرامج الحوارية واتجاهاتهم نحو هذه البرامج فيما يتعلق بالاستقطاب السياسي، كذلك تختلف درجة تأثير الشخص الثالث (عملية الاستقطاب السياسي من قبل البرامج الحوارية على الفضائيات المصرية) باختلاف المسافة الاجتماعية. وفي هذه الدراسة تبدأ المسافة الاجتماعية بالذات، ثم الأهل، ثم المستبعدين اجتماعيا، وقد توصلت الدراسة إلي أنه: تقوم البرامج الحوارية عبر الفضائيات المصرية بعملية استقطاب سياسي للمستبعدين اجتماعيا، جاء تأثير هذا الاستقطاب بدرجة قوية، الأكاديميين لديهم قبول لفكرة تأثير البرامج الحوارية عند قيامها بعملية الاستقطاب السياسي للمستبعدين، في حين كان تأثيرها عليهم محدود، تعددت استراتيجيات الاستقطاب السياسي المستخدمة في البرامج الحوارية على الفضائيات المصرية من وجهة نظر الأكاديميين فكانت التعبئة والحشد، ثم التهويل، ثم عرض وجهات النظر والتخويف والترهيب، وتناول قضايا الفقراء وعرض الحقائق، ثم التضخيم و التهديد، ثبت صحة الفرض القائل بأنه: تختلف درجة تأثير الشخص الثالث (عملية الاستقطاب السياسي من قبل البرامج الحوارية علي الفضائيات المصرية) باختلاف المسافة الاجتماعية.
