المستخلص: يدرس هذا البحث مظاهر الصراع النفسي للشخصية المحورية خاتم في الرواية، وحيرتها في عالمها الجسدي، وجاء اختيار هذه الرواية لأن بنيتها الروائية قائمة على عنصر الصراع، الذي تعددت مظاهره، بدءا من الصراع داخل شخصية خاتم، وقد تقصى البحث مظاهر لصراعات أخرى، وهو الصراع الاجتماعي، تمثل في رؤية والدها وسيطرت الأفكار والعادات والتقاليد في مجتمع يُعلي من شأن الذكور، وكان أثر هذا الصراع قد اتضح في مناجاة خاتم الوجدانية والبحث عن ذاتها، ومشاعرها وأنوثتها وحقها في أن تعيش أنثى تحب وتنجب وتعيش كامل حقوقها الإنسانية، إلى أن قتلت على أيدي العسكر، ولم تنجح في صراعها لتبديد هويتها الجنسية، ولاحظ البحث أن اللغة شاركت في تصوير جوانب هذا الصراع ، وأن رجاء قد سخرت التقنيات الروائية لمقاربة الشخصية إلى الواقع؛ فكانت خاتم شخصية حيوية متطورة في النص تعاطف معها المتلقي في صراعها، وهذا ما سيقدمه البحث من فهم لحركة الصراع في خطاب هذه الرواية.

This research studies the aspects of the psychological conflict of the pivotal character “Khatem” in the novel and the confusion in her physical world. The choice of this particular novel, came because its narrative structure is based on the element of conflict, which has many aspects, starting from the conflict inside the character of “Khatem”. The research examined a social conflict, represented by her father’s vision and the domination of ideas, customs and traditions in a male dominated society. This conflict was clear in the emotional monologues of “Khatem” and her search of self, feelings and femininity, her right to live as a female that is able to love and be loved and live all her humanitarian rights. She was killed at the hands of the police and didn’t succeed in defining her sexual identity. The research observes that the language has taken a part in depicting the aspects of the conflict, and that Raja’a has employed the fictional techniques to approach the characters to reality. So, “Khatem”, was a lively developing character in the text, which the reader sympathized with in her conflict, the research will be presenting the understanding of the conflict in the monologue of this novel.
