المستخلص: هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى معرفة العلاقة بين التفاؤل غير الواقعي وسلوك المخاطرة في قيادة السيارات، وكذلك العلاقة بين سمات الشخصية محل الدراسة وسلوك المخاطرة في قيادة السيارات لدى عينة من المصريين المقيمين بالمملكة العربية السعودية، كما هدفت إلى التحقق من وجود فروق بين مرتفعي ومنخفضي سلوك المخاطرة في ضوء التفاؤل غير الواقعي، والتحقق أيضا من وجود فروق بين مرتفعي ومنخفضي سلوك المخاطرة في ضوء سمات الشخصية، وكذلك التحقق من إمكانية التنبؤ بمستوى سلوك المخاطرة لدي عينة الدراسة في ضوء كل من التفاؤل غير الواقعي، وسمات الشخصية. وأجريت الدراسية على عينة قوامها (١٥٥) فردا من المصريين المقيمين بالمملكة العربية السعودية، وتم تطبيق أدوات الدراسة التالية (مقياس التفاؤل غير الواقعي إعداد زعابطة سيرين هاجر& مشاشوقرمية، 2011) مقياس سمات الشخصية (إعداد الباحثة)، مقياس سلوك المخاطرة في قيادة السيارات (إعداد الباحثة) وانتهت نتائج الدراسي الحالية إلى التالي: - وجود علاقة ارتباطية موجبة دالة إحصائيا بين درجات أفراد العينة على مقياس سلوك المخاطرة ودرجتهم على مقياس التفاؤل غير الواقعي. -وجود فروق دالة إحصائيا بين متوسطات درجات أفراد العينة مرتفعي ومنخفضي سلوك المخاطرة على مقياس التفاؤل غير الواقعي وذلك لصالح مرتفعي سلوك المخاطرة. -وجود فروق دالة إحصائيا بين متوسطات درجات الأفراد مرتفعي ومنخفضي سلوك المخاطرة على أبعاد مقاس سمات الشخصية المتمثلة في: المسئولية-السيطرة-الاتزان، والدرجة الكلية للمقياس، وذلك لصالح منخفضي سلوك المخاطرة. - متغيري (التفاؤل غير الواقعي، السيطرة) لهما قدرة تنبؤية بمستوى (سلوك المخاطرة).

The present study aims to know the relationship between unrealistic optimism and risk behavior in driving, as well as the relationship between the concerned personality traits and risk behavior in driving by a sample of Egyptians, residing in Saudi Arabia. It also aims to verify that there are differences between high and low risk behavior in the light of unrealistic optimism, and the fact that there are differences between high and low risk behavior in the light of personality traits. In addition, the present study verifies the predictability of the risk behavior of the study sample in the light of both unrealistic optimism and personality traits. The study was conducted on a sample of (155) Egyptian citizens residing in Saudi Arabia. The following study tools were applied: the scale of unrealistic optimism (by Za'abeta Sereen Hajar & Mashashokramia, 2011), the scale of personality traits (by the present researcher), and risk behavior scale in Driving (by the present researcher). The findings of the present study are as follows: - There is a positive statistically significant correlation between the scores of the respondents on the scale of risk behavior and their scores on the unrealistic optimism scale. - There is a negative statistically significant correlation between the scores of the sample on the scale of risk behavior and their scores on the personality traits scale. - There is statistically significant differences between the average scores of individuals of high and low risk behavior on the unrealistic optimism scale. This was in favor of individuals of high-risk behavior. - There is a statistically significant difference between average scores of individuals of high and low risk behavior on the dimensions of the personality traits scale, which are represented in responsibility, control, balance, and the total score of the scale. This was in favour of individuals of low risk behavior. - Predictability of risk behavior through unrealistic optimism and control as a dimension of personality traits.
