المستخلص: The aim of this research is to identify the extent to which callers rely on rumors in the Egyptian press, the extent of commitment to callers honesty and impartiality in the transmission of news, and the extent to which the callers are aware of the concept of social responsibility, and how the contact person in the Egyptian newspapers deal with rumors in the publication of news. This research is one of the descriptive studies, and the researcher relied on the survey methodology sample, because of the difficulty of conducting a comprehensive survey of all vocabulary of the research community. It took the field work done by the researcher on the contacts in the Egyptian newspapers, and conducted interviews with the contacts within a month, which is the period between 1/3/2019 to 30/3/2019. The researcher adopted the questionnaire questionnaire tool which is one of the best methods used in media studies within the descriptive method. The study sample consisted of (85) singles represented among males by 53% and females by 47%. The most important search results: 1. There is a strong inverse correlation with statistical significance between the volume of Social responsibility among Egyptian journalists and the extent to which they deal with rumors. 2. There are no statistically significant differences between the degree of their dependence on rumors in the news. 3. There are statistically significant differences between Egyptian journalists in the degree of reliance on rumors in publishing news according to (type of journalists (male and female), age stage and qualification of journalists (specialists and non-specialists), and years of experience).
