The problem of the current study revolves around revealing the repercussions of watching Arab drama on the pattern of family relations in Upper Egypt, its advantages and disadvantages, and means of treatment, in addition to monitoring its reliability and realism through various variables. The study used the media survey method, as it is one of the most prominent approaches used in media studies, and this approach is a scientifically organized effort to obtain data, information and descriptions about the media phenomenon in its current position with the aim of forming the basic base of data and information required in the field of specialization through an audience survey where a sample was surveyed From Arab drama viewers, to learn about the nature of family relations in Upper Egypt and their reflection on the patterns of those relationships in reality. The study population is represented in the Egyptian society in Upper Egypt, and the application was applied to a quota sample representing all groups of the study community of Arab drama viewers consisting of 4, male and female singles, distributed equally between Minya Governorate , and Beni Suef, Qena , and Aswan , in the age group from 18 to 6, years and over , represented for each Educational, economic and social levels. The researcher used a questionnaire newspaper to collect field study data based on the theoretical framework of the study represented in the theory of cultural planting, and based on the study hypotheses and the variables that should be measured, taking into account previous studies and their findings, The most important results of the study: 1- The basis of selecting the sample for the persons with whom he deals in the family reality after following up on the Arab drama related to family relations in Upper Egypt (on the basis of intellectual harmony and scientific interest) in first place, then (on the basis of kinship relationship) and then (on the basis of common interest).
