المستخلص: The study Problem: The research problem was identified in the “visual rhetoric used in the comics of Egyptian news websites, applying to the issue of Egypt's exit from the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations: an analytical study.” the importance of studying: The importance of research is due to the following: The importance of the study came to apply a new methodology in Arab media studies to study visual rhetoric as a parallel to the textual content analysis. Objectives of the study: Learn about the application of visual rhetoric to cartoons. Type and method of study: This research belongs to the qualitative-oriented, explanatory and descriptive research, which does not suffice with the outward description of the constituent elements of political caricature, but seeks to link between visual and rhetorical forms (metaphor, metaphor, etc.). Sample and study population: A sample was chosen from the Egyptian news sites that were interested in publishing the caricature of the issue of Egypt's exit from the African Cup. The timeframe for the analytical study was determined from 7/ 7/ 2019 to 7/ 30/ 2019. Results: The research was concerned with the methods of visual rhetoric used in the comics of Egyptian news websites for the issue of Egypt's exit from the 2019 African Nations Cup, the subject of the study, to monitor the visual elements in these drawings and extract the rhetorical connotations and indirect meanings behind the apparent and direct meaning in the images, by addressing some caricatures in news sites Egyptian.
