المستخلص: Science fiction films have taken a large area at the level of global cinematic production, as science fiction films are distinguished by their ability to build virtual environments through which they try to embody many films, which impress the viewer, with the technological development, science fiction films have benefited from the sound and visual effects, which have the ability to Attracting the viewer's attention through visual perception and working to deliver the message to the recipient directly and indirectly, depending on what is known as optical illusion, so the problem of the study is to identify the following question: What is the role of visual and sound effects in foreign science fiction films and their reflection on the aesthetics of the audience? The importance of the study lies in the scientific contribution it represents in the field of fiction research in general and science fiction in particular, which would contribute significantly to awareness of the future and preparation for the changes that may occur in the field of science, technology and life on planet Earth. The study found the success of both films in the study sample in employing sound effects, including creating a psychological atmosphere that came in the foreground, followed by an explanation of events, arousing the emotions of the recipient and attracting his attention, and both films succeeded in employing visual effects to attract the viewer's attention, where lighting came first, Colors follow, and both films agree.
