|b The research tackles the definitions of the political upbringing of children and how it differs in different societies, and reviews its importance for the individual and society, and how it is considered one of the most important aspects necessary for a balanced development of the child, to become an active citizen in society. The research stresses the goal of the political upbringing of children in helping them understand the reality of their society and the concepts of belonging and loyalty to the homeland. In addition, political upbringing prepares the mentality of children to confront the cultural and intellectual invasion. The research also indicates the greater role of the political upbringing of children in supporting national unity, consolidating the spirit of integration and strengthening the national identity, especially in the societies of ethnic diversity. Finally, the research reviews the tools and means that contribute to the political upbringing of children, consecrate the idea of citizenship and stimulate participation. The research confirms that political participation and the individual's attitudes towards political action begin within the family that has - especially in developing societies - a role that surpasses the roles of other institutions such as the religious and educational institutions.
