المستخلص: إن علم الحديث يعتبر من أشرف العلوم وأجلها، كيف لا وهو العلم الخادم للسنة النبوية الشريفة التي تعد المصدر الثاني للتشريع الإسلامي بعد القرآن الكريم، فهي مبينة لمجمله، ومضيفة إليه ما لم يذكر فيه، مخصصة لعامه ومقيدة لمطلقه. وقد اهتم العلماء اهتماما كبيرا بالحديث النبوي تصحيحا وتضعيفا، جرحا وتعديلا، شرحا وتعليقا، توجيها وتسديدا، تعلما وتعليما، دراسة وتأليفا، تخريجا وتحقيقا، حتى أصبح هذا العلم في متناول كل من طلبه، بفضل جهود هؤلاء الأكابر الثقات والأئمة الأعلام من الحفاظ والنقاد. كما برزت شخصيات عظيمة لها حضورها الوازن في خدمة الحديث النبوي وعلومه عبر كل العصور، وكان لها الفضل الكبير والخير العميم في هذا المجال، ومن تلك الشخصيات الفذة في تاريخ الأمة الإسلامية؛ "الإمام الخطيب البغدادي" الذي لا يمكن لمشتغل بالسنة النبوية وعلومها ألا يعتمد على جهوده الكبيرة في هذا المجال، فهو فارس من فرسان هذا الميدان الكبار، لم يترك فنا من فنون علم الحديث إلا وألف فيه، فأبدع وأفاد رحمه الله تعالى. وفي هذا البحث حول (جهود الإمام الخطيب البغدادي في خدمة علوم الحديث) سأحاول الحديث في محورين: المحور الأول- معالم من السيرة العلمية للإمام: الخطيب البغدادي. المحور الثاني- قراءة في جهود الخطيب البغدادي وإبراز منهجه والوقوف على نماذج من مصنفاته.

This The science of hadith is considered one of the most noble and honorable sciences, how not, and it is knowledge that serves the Sunnah of the ProphetSharifa, which is the second source of Islamic law after the Holy Century, as it is indicated for its entirety, and its host. To him that which is not mentioned in it, dedicated to his year and restricted to his absolute.The scholars have paid great attention to the hadith of the Prophet as correct and weakening, wound and amendment, explanation and comment. Instructions and guidance, for what and teaching, study and authorship, output and investigation, so that this science became accessible to all. Who asked him, thanks to the efforts of these trusted elders, prominent imams and critics. Great personalities have also appeared in the service of the Prophet’s hadith and its sciences throughout all ages.And she had the great merit and the general good in this field, and one of those extraordinary personalities in the nation's historyIslamic; “Imam AlKhatib Al-Baghdadi” who does not work with the Sunnah and its sciences can. His great efforts in this field, as he is one of the knights of this great field, he did not leave an art of science. The hadith was not written in it, so he innovated and reported, may God Almighty have mercy on him. In this research on (the efforts of Imam al-Khatib al-Baghdadi in the service of hadith sciences) I will try to talk in two axes: The first axis - milestones from the scientific biography of the Imam: AlKhatib Al-Baghdadi. The second axis - a review of the efforts of AlKhatib Al-Baghdadi, highlighting his method, and studying examples of his works.
